A Little Bit About Me
It’s not easy to know how to best represent myself in a few paragraphs but I think the quality that I most relate to and that people associate with me is positivity. I am a cheerful person who tries to see the good in every situation and person because I believe doing so makes for a more peaceful and contented life, and more importantly because I hope that doing so will bring me closer to leading the kind of life that Allah SWT will be pleased with insya’Allah. I like to believe that I have a strong sense of righteousness, fair mindedness and family togetherness due to my close knit family in Singapore. My family is really important to me and I value the time I spend with them. They are my pillars of support, my role models, my biggest motivators and my gentlest and yet most truthful critics. I am a teacher by profession so in the (precious little ) time that I am not marking and preparing lessons, I enjoy reading, writing, travelling and listening to Islamic lectures. With family and close friends, I am a lively and humorous person, however with others whom I am meeting for the first time, I am slightly more cautious, hence it takes time for me to warm up to them.
